Basil and Alex arranged the volunteer schedules and located convenient times to hold lessons. Alex called scheduled three sessions with Woodlawn for week 4. These sessions are:1
As soon as Alex hears from the Carnegie school, he will arrange one or possibly two more skating sessions for this school. A secondary topic of discussion was the scheduled visit to the Woodlawn school on Thursday (Jan 21) in order to get acquainted with the kids and with their teachers. To make the best use of the visit, Basil suggested that it is a priority that each of the kids knows his/her shoe size before coming for the lesson. Dennis voiced the idea that during the visit the kids should be divided into several groups bearing the names of African American role models. Niels discussed possible joint community service events with other groups on campus such as Strive and Giving Tree. Skating on Midway has contact people in both of these organizations. Action: The main action is to begin scheduling volunteers for the three Woodlawn sessions scheduled to begin Wednesday of week 4. Meeting minutes thanks to Secretary Dennis Korneff.
